2 – Read 1 John 5:13 together. Have you believed in Jesus as your Savior? Do you have eternal life? How does that make you feel?
3 – God gave you eternal life as a free gift. What can you do this week to serve Him and show him how grateful you are for that gift?

First, someone shares the good news about Jesus with us – that’s evangelism.
Then, when we believe in Jesus for ourselves, that’s justification.
From that point on, God doesn’t want you to wonder about whether you have eternal life.
He wants you to have assurance of your eternal life. That means you KNOW you have eternal life, just like in our key verse, 1 John 5:13.
God wants you to worship Him and serve Him, KNOWING (or having assurance) that you’re safe forever in His family.
